Adoor being the centre of Kerala has good highways and roads for the pleasure of travel and for the shipment of goods. Adoor has the MC road passing through it till Trivandrum and the National Highway 183A passing through Adoor connecting Pathanamthitta and other major places. The MC road in Adoor-Pandalam route is a wide laned road and is very good for travelling smoothly. A bypass of MC-Road has been built in Adoor. The Bypass starts from Nellimutilpaddi in Adoor and ends at Karuvatta in Adoor, nearly the end of Adoor town. The Kayamkulam-Punalur road also passes through Adoor making it the centre of Kayamkulam and Punalur. KP Road connects Adoor to other important towns like Pathanapuram and Charummood. People mostly use MC-Road in Adoor for travelling to Trivandrum other than using National Highway 47 to avoid traffic-jams and heat of the coastal areas touching the National Highway 47. The MC-Road gives pleasure and safety to travellers with no traffic-jams so people mostly take the Adoor-Trivandrum route for travelling to Trivandrum. The National Highway 183, which is an upgraded part of MC Road, passes through Adoor and ends at Kottarakara Junction.
