Dominic Haakon Myrtved Purcell[1][2] (born 17 February 1970) is an English-born Australian actor. He is best known for his portrayals of Lincoln Burrows in Fox's Prison Break and Mick Rory / Heat Wave in The CW's The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, as well as Drake from Blade: Trinity.

Early life
Purcell was born in Wallasey, England. He is the son of Phil Myrtvedt and Mary T. "Maureen" (née Hassett) Purcell. His mother was of Irish descent and his father was a Norwegian of French descent. In 1972, he and his family moved to Bondi, New South Wales in Australia, and later to Western Sydney.[3] He attended Blaxland East Public School and Blaxland High School, as well as St Dominic's College and McCarthy Catholic College, Emu Plains.[4] He later attended the Australian Theatre for Young People and then enrolled at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where he studied with Hugh Jackman.[5]
Personal life
He has dated former 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord, starting in 2011. In 2014, the couple announced an amicable split, but rekindled their romance a year later. McCord told People Magazine she came back into his life as a friend when the actor was diagnosed with skin cancer, but the relationship soon turned romantic again.[6] In January 2018, McCord ended her relationship with Purcell.[7]
On 1 June 2016 Purcell suffered severe injuries on set in Morocco, after a misplaced iron bar used as a Prison Break season 5 set piece had fallen onto his head. The actor was immediately airlifted from Marrakesh to Casablanca, where he received emergency treatment for nasal fractures and various other injuries.
He has two nieces, Claudia and Elisha Purcell.[8][9][10]
