Gutch's final plan for Tyburnia, 1838.


George Gutch was a British architect and the Bishop of London's surveyor of his Paddington estate. Gutch prepared the Final Plan for Tyburnia of 1838.[1]


Gutch completed St James' Church, Sussex Gardens, Paddington, (c. 1841) after John Goldicutt's death. Goldicutt's original scheme was for a neo-classical design in yellow brick.[2] The yellow brick was used but Gutch changed the style to Gothic. The building was later extensively changed by G.E. Street in 1882.[3]
