Pindi Bhattian (Urdu: تحصِيل پِنڈى بهٹياں‎), is a tehsil or an administrative sub-division of Hafizabad district located on the left bank of Chenab River.[2]Pindi Bhattian is its capital city and administration unit.


Pindi Bhattian is one of the oldest cities of present-day Pakistan. Pindi Bhattian is a complete blend of diversified castes and historic background. Most notable castes in this tehsil are Bhatti and Arain as they have always been in power and are elected as MNAs and MPAs repeatedly. The Jatt family is also in abundance.

Education


Literacy rate and education system was not very good in this Tehsil but the present scenario is changing dynamically. There are many Government schools for girls and boys separately and private education sector is also increasing. Tehsil Pindi Bhattian has now one Degree college for boys and one for girls. There is also a newly established Technical Training college which is catching interest of students since this is a new field.


Lodhra family is considered to be one of oldest and well educated family in Pindi Bhattian with its linkage with education back in 1857 as they had renowned eye specialist doctor and Patwaris around 1870. Lodhra family has produced many notable doctors, teachers, lawyers, lecturers, Patwaris and bureaucrats. Besides Lodhra family, Bhatti, Chohan and Sheikh families are also embarking on education field.
