时序保护猜想（英语：Chronology protection conjecture，又譯時序保護假說）是由物理學家史蒂芬·霍金提出的猜想，該猜想认为物理定律不允许任何除亚微观尺度外的时间旅行。

缘起


在一篇1992年的論文中[1]，霍金用隱喻的說法「Chronology Protection Agency」（時序保護機構/機制）來闡釋物理定律不允許宏觀尺度的時間旅行，由此避免時間悖論。他認為：
